Re: Crower Cams....Give me advice!!!!!

Just want to hit on something nobody is checking, is that most all the cams are ground on a 114deg center line except for the fr500 cam kit. They are ground on a 109deg centerline, which will improve and bring the torque in earlier and are good to about 7,000 rpm not far from stock. Ford also claims driveability is superior to production cams. fr500 is what I am leaning towards.

p.s. this whole cam thing is confusing me!!!
Brent, It is really very simple. Get your self a 12 inch full range outdoor all weather speaker and cut a hole in the floor of your Mach's trunk. Mount the speaker so it fires down and wire it into your stereo. Then get a recording of your favorite High lope car at a show or even the sound clip from Sean Hyland's site. Then whenever you idle through the local drive in or car show, you play the sound clip. Its cheaper, You get the sound you want and you will still have your warranty.

I wanna see individual numbers not someone trying to sneak in extra hp to make it look better
i agree, it would have been better to see the car dynoed with full exhaust then re dynoed with the cams and full exhaust, that would have given us a more real world example of the increase from the cams since most all of us have at least a mid pipe and catback.

The only problem is im not sure if the long runner intake will fit under the shaker hood scoop. Also the price of the manifold is a killer.

Does anyone know how high our stock internals can safely rev?
The FR500 intake allegedly bolts on, and the TB is in the exact same spot.
The difference in the manifold is mostly internal.
From what I understand, the shaker should fit fine.
I did see a thread somewhere (here or on the org) where the guy that works at a performnace Ford/SVT dealership in Georgia has all the lowdown onfo on this, including parts needed to make the FR500 intake work.
I believe his user name was geterdone or somthing like that.
Seems pretty knowledgeable on his threads.
