Should I wait for the 04 Mach 1? - Page 2 - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

2004 Mach I??? Many people on this site do not even have VIN's yet and the regional Reps are telling some dealers that they will not recieve their allocation of 2003 Mach I's. Personally I do not see the demand for Mach I's as high. Yeah everyone thinks it is cool but many are not buying. Many people have cancelled orders. Just look on a dealer lot near you. They are all sitting at and above MSRP. For a car with so much marketing and hype I can't believe that they are just sitting getting crapped on by birds and letting the snow plows spray them with salty slush.

If I were a dealership, and wanted to put a car on the showroom with a lot of "WOW"appeal to grab peoples attention, I would put a Mach 1 right in front. Then I'd price it well above MSRP to keep it there and if it sold for a stupid amount of money great, if not, that's OK, too. After a period of time sell it for MSPR or slightly discounted. The Cobra is nice but does not have the eye appeal that the Mach 1 has. The problem with all this is that soon there will be unsold Mach 1's on lots everywhere. That will result in rebates or low/no interest loans to get them moving out. After the initial sales rush, it will trickle down and then no '04...my .02!
