replacing speakers

What size speakers did you replace you factory speakers with?

Front?

Back?

Any recommendations?

I have 2 punch 10's & I want crisper highs to go with them. I am going to replace the front & back speakers & add a new deck.

Use crutchfield.
Front door and back deck take 6x8's, and tweeters on the windows are 2 1/2"

Do 6.5 components up front. You can buy adapter plates from Tweeter.

6x8 coaxials in the rear (JBL), 6.5" components up front (Focal 165KP) with home-made mdf mounting baffles.

Tweeters mounted in stock locations.

6x8 Infinity 3 way up front
6x9 Infinity 3 way back deck.
You will have to cut a small amount of metal on the rear deck but the difference between 6x8 and 6x9 is well worth it. I have my Trebel turned about 1 notch up off the halfway mark and they still are crisp and sound great with the 12" in the trunk.

I am using a sony amp. 75x4. I have had it for about 3 years now. I used to run the 75x4 w/ 2 channels bridged pushing my 12 w/ the other two channels running to the front and a 55x2 pushing the rear 6x9's. In true sound production you want more comming from the front and the back as kinda a rear fill. When I got the stang I hooked it all up in a rush so just put the f/r on two channels and bridged the other two to the 12. It still sounds better than systems I have seen with far more power. I mounted the amp under the rear deck and used black loom to cover all of the wires. Whith the trunk open you have to get on your knees to see the amp. It looks like it was from the factory and dosen't take up any space. I could take some pics if you would like just let me know.
