That really sucks. I sure hope everything works out for the guy. If AMP is really causing this many problems, I don't see them in business much longer.

That is really sad that a shop would treat a consumer that way.

That's messed up. It's bad enough it's a consumer they shafted (and by Arizona Police statements in that thread, probably many consumers they shafted.) But to screw-over an active military person who is defending American interests and freedom... that's really friggin' low.

Man, you can guarantee I won't be using that shop - EVER!

I really hope they get this on "12 on your side" or some other similar local program.

More people need to be aware of this shop, especially those of us that live in the area.

Thanks for posting.

This makes me mad just thinking about it, and I am on the other side of the country. Hopefully, AMP will get educated real soon that we are no longer in the dark ages and that funny thing called the Internet has the power to effect change on ignorant, irresponsible, and despicable individuals, like a sever loss of business.

There's always two sides

I would like to hear AMP'S side of the story? Do they ever come on here?

Ya know, normally I would agree with you, but I have heard enough bad things about APM from others to make me feel like this time there's only one side to it.

Check around on the net and I think you'll find quite a few "ohh APM?? yeah DON'T go there!!" statements.

Word of mouth can be a powerful thing, and I understand it has to be represented correctly, but I'm inclined to believe that this time it's pretty straightforward.

But, hey, I invite Tom to post on here and give his side. I'd be VERY curious to hear it.

I have been e-mailing AMP and this is what I have recieved

ME= Pay the guy the $1500 and thank him for sacraficing his life so pos like you can live free.

hi, how do you know how much money I owe Dave? Tom T.

ME= I guessed at the $$$ but not at thanking him. From your reply it sounds like you don't care either way what he does for a living. It seems your free to rip off who ever you want. Good luck with that.

hi, how do you know we ripped him off if you don't know the full story? Do just assume what he is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth? We take care of our military people. We have hundreds of military people that support us from all different walks of life. Coast Guard, Marine, Air Force, Army, Navy, Reservists, Vietnam Vets and more. Why has our business been so successful for 14 years running (Oct. 1990)??? Please explain more that your so sure of. Tom T.

ME= Did you do work on his car?

Was the work done correctly?

Was a refund offerd/recieved?

Perhaps you should state your side of the story.

Hope everything works out okay with that guy. I just got sick to my stomach accompanied by a throbbing headache just thinking about all the stress he's gone through. As a future shop owner, I'll make a note never to lose my sense of customer service and go the extra mile to make things right- no matter what situation. Look how badly that guy is destroying his business getting an attitude with one customer. And how many other customers has the business treated this badly?

Luckily, I do not live near Arizona. It's sad, but word needs to get around throughout all automotive enthusiasts that this shop is no good. They need to be shut down, period.

I've heard so many bad things about AMP, it serves this company right " you reap what you sow" and its about time its cought up with them. If it was a reputable business they would do what it takes to make it right with him. It's sad that AMP would do this not just to anyone but someone who's fighting for our country. I will spread the word here in Tucson, I belong to one of the oldest mustang clubs in the country and I will discuss this shop at the next meeting. I'm not going to slander AMP but I will not recommend anyone to this shop. Unfortunatly, there's no hot rod shops here that do the work that AMP does so alot of us use hot rod shops in the pheonix area, AMP wont be one of th the shops that I use.

Business is business, even if it's a family business. Why oh why they had to make it personal... that's what I'd like to know.

I think I'll call them...

...and start asking about how fast can they make my car go for like $10,000, 'cuase that's all the money I have right now. They start drooling over my $10K, and I make an appointment to bring the car in like that afternoon.

Needless to say, I don't show up and I call back to say that I read some bad stuff abot them and they ain't gettin' near my car, much less my $10 grand.

I'm a member on the 1320stangs board in Phoenix. I read about this first on there. This is horrible.

It boggles my mind that anyone can run a business this way.

I will never buy anything from them. Fellow Mustangers just don't treat each other like that. Good luck.
