i think pro 5.0 or steeda tri ax are the only way to go...ive got the steed my buddy has the pro 5.0 i am more partial to the steed but they are both great

The debate about the stop bolts remain as some keep them and some (including myself) remove them. Scott Hoag recommends removing them as the tranny itself has internal stops but like I said it's a toss up.

i dont see why it would hurt to keep em in........ive always taken the utmost precautions wiht stang trannys....too prone to breakage, 2nd thing i bought for my 95 was a Hurst.

So are we talking not to set the stop for the shifter, as per the instructions doing the 3rd and 4th gear?

I got the triax with the stops installed. Car has 7800 miles and FORD just rebuilt my tranny under warranty with all new gears synchros and bearings. Took um 3 tries and 14 days in the shop to get it right but shifts better than ever and never said a word about the shifter. My .02 adj the stops and leave um in cuz the internal stops are weak and will give out if overstressed. (IE no stops allows you to pull farther against the internal ones.) This was told to me by the tech that rebuilt the trans.
