Anyone own a black one with stripes-pics?
Has anyone picked up a black Mach 1 with stripes yet? If so, do you have any pics you can post? I'm hunting for a black one right now and would like to see it. It's not that i need the pictures to be sure of myself. Why would i need that with this car.

I've already seen those pics. I wanted to see some shots by someone who owns one. I saw the pics from the dealer w/o stripes and i saw the guy from Arizona w/o stripes. The one with a front end shot with the hood stripe at a dealer isn't what i had in mind. I figured an owner would also have a lot more shots than those couple from the dealer. I don't spend every minute on the internet so it's very possible i could have missed something. If you don't like my question why not just hit the back button. You may want to read the post a little closer next time and notice the wording about somebody owning one with stripes. Don't be so quick about the search feature ******** next time.

Darkhorse, I don't think anyone on here has a black mach1 yet. I could be wrong, but I do not remember seeing anyone mention they did. I know that John Nolan Ford in Cincinnati had one, not sure if it is still there or not. Might want to give them a call and see, if you haven't already.
My best suggestion is to go to www.dealerconnection.com and start looking around. You may already be doing this as you mentioned that you are looking around. The big question is, how far are you willing to travel to get it. I can tell you that it is worth every mile it will take. Good luck in your hunt. |

Cobrajg and 69mach03, thanks to both of you for the replies. I'm still looking and hopefully I'll be able to find one close here soon. That Ebay one is auto and I don't think it has the iup. I'm looking for the 5-speed with the iup. I'm not willing to go above msrp either. Two of my local dealers are willing to go a/z/d on them but can't guarantee if they can get one in. My father worked for Ford for over 40 years so I'm eligible for his Z plan. Thanks again for the replies. Nice car btw, cobrajg. I saw your post on bon recently.

Mach
I am currently awaiting my black Mach 1. It comes with the IUP, 5-speed, and the dealer is honoring my A-Plan. Just a matter of time. We already know that the A-Plan is black on black. But for me, the Mach 1 hood stripe is part of the car. I want a stripe that shows. Have decided on a kick *** color combo, already have a place ready to do it. The question is, do I just repaint the stripe on the hood? Or do a stripe the entire length of the car down the center? Anyway, if you look hard enough, you might just find a dealer who'll honor the discount plan you have. The way I found mine was simply going through the phone book. And look for tiny ford dealers in area's that aren't so well off financially. They are most likely to cut you a deal.
