Mpg-automatic Tranny

Was just wondering if any of you auto tranny guys could tell me what kinda mpg you get on the highway and around town? My Auto GT got about 24 highway and about 16 around town. It looks like my mach is getting about 22 high way but 19 around town? So the GT was better on the high way(stock gears...3.55 on mach prob explains it) but the mach seems to have better mpg city driving. This is pretty much 2500RPM and under driving. (354 miles on her and trying to break her in)

I'm getting about what you're getting. I get 21/22 mpg highway. My city mileage (if I'm careful) is around 19 mpg, but if I drive agressively around town, fuel mileage is around 16 - 17 mpg.

Once the gas prices drop (if they ever do) it'll be much better....but also much more tempting to get on it more...Come to think of it the reason why my GT prob had worse MPG in the city is due to the fact that I was nailing it from every red light

Anyways still trying to be light on the throttle as I'm breaking her in. It's getting really tempting to mash the throttle at traffic lights when I have riced out hondas reving on my at every other light

Thumbs up That's pretty much what I'm getting

I'm getting around 19 mpg city mileage as well. I really don't know yet on the highway. I'll be driving down to Colorado Springs and back this weekend, and that will be my first real highway driving in it. I think it will have no trouble getting 22-23 mpg cruising at 75-80 with the stock gears. On a two lane cruising at 60 or so in OD I think it might get 25 mpg.

Boulder, I have yet to get a K&N for my Mach...you notice any difference after the K&N install? On my GT it wasn't really noticeable...was just curious if the mach responds any differently.

How are y'alll getting such good mileage? I'm averaging about 13-14 city with agressive driving... about 17mpg overall ( 50/50 city /highway ) with careful driving. And the one time I did 100% highway, i got like 19.5 mpg. Sux.

I took about a 300 mile trip (each way) a couple weeks ago. I set the cruise on 75 going up and 70 on the way home. My mpg were almost exactly the same at just under 22 mpg. This trip was all interstate driving so i have no idea what city driving would do to the mpg.

Simillar

I got a high of 24mpg highway on a brand new engine, following a 200 mile break in period. This was driving 65-80mph.

Since, I get about 22-23 highway with simillar driving speeds.

City, I get 19-20mpg. City is only my wife driving it, so I know she's not porking it, so me in the city would probably be more like 16-17 at best.

I've got 4.10's in mine, last time I checked I got 15 in town. Never checked it on strictly highway miles.
