selling a nitrous mach

i will be selling my mach soon and it has nitrous hooked up now but i was wondering if the car would sell better without the spray? the car has 105k miles and the nitrous was installed at a little over 100k and the car runs great on the bottle. but i wanted some input from you guys before i sell it. thanks

Very few people would be interested in a nitrous car, so I would say nitrous would hurt the value. If it were my car I'd do a compression test on all cylinders so buyers would be confident the nitrous caused no issues, then try to sell it with two prices: nitrous still hooked up and removed.
Either way at this point you need to tell the potential buyer it has/had nitrous installed.

Re: selling a nitrous mach

People are funny about nitrous, a lot of misconceptions out there. I'd say it will hurt value.

Re: selling a nitrous mach

I would think it would hurt the value, especially since your Mach 1 has over 100K on the odometer.

Re: selling a nitrous mach

Depends on the buyer; if I was buying it I would want it left on. This would tell me how it was used; I would personally even pull the pills and see what it was jetted for. So, an educated buyer wants it on. If the buyer has never had nitrous, then they would walk away as soon as you breathed the word nitrous.

To this day, I cannot convince my brother nitrous is safe, so long as it is done correctly. He will always walk away from the car. Amazingly enough, he is stupid smart with cars, etc. He just grew up when people threw nitrous on cars and blew them all up. (he is 10 years older than me)

Also, if I was buying a 100k Mach, I would assume a rebuild was in its near future. Mustangs with 100k miles, the buyer needs to assume an expensive rebuild could be in the future. Argue or not, something that should be budgeted for. When I purchased my daughter's GT, I assumed it may need a new transmission and made sure I purchased it at a price that allowed for that. 1 year later, same transmission. But, I assume it will happen at some point.

I mean, 100k mile mustang will not be without its problems. Educated buyers know this.

Re: selling a nitrous mach

I think it all depends on the buyer, but for the most part people are going to stay away from it, for sure depends on the buyer

Re: selling a nitrous mach

yes i will be selling. The car is mechanically sound and interior is in great condition. nice compression numbers also. with that said what would you guys say a fair asking price would be? everything stock except exhaust, mid pipe, nitrous, and radials. It could use a paint job
