20hp is the exact number I picked up from swapping to cobra cams with all the bolt ons minus a properly ported intake. My cutted home port didn't do the job.

Makes sense, So basically they are good for about 20HP and do not affect torque either way basically?

I'm keeping the cobra cams until I put my 5.3 bbs in the car.

Well if your going to use the shorter belt setup and delete the A/C and hydroboost I understand it would be worth it, but again not stuff im willing to give up personally since im not just looking for a race-car. I prefer a nice fast well balanced comfy street/strip car lol. So an EWP for me would probably result in all of about 3 RWHP haha

Re: New best stock longblock dyno numbers.

Did you get a chance to run it yet? you have to be high 11s low 12s depending on weight, suspension, and driver id imagine.

no not yet. it is 3400 with a full tank of gas and me not in the car. So race weight around 3600 lbs. MM tubular suspension up front and panhard/torque arm in the rear. Still waiting on some slicks before i take it to the track.
