Dyno graph! Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
Ok guys gona put the car on the dyno for the first time Saturday. Running 10psi and 15* timing on 93 octaine. On the stock clutch is the only thing im worried about. What you guys think? Never had an issue to this point, even leaving on slicks @ 10#.

Ask to get emailed the WinPep file from the dyno run. Assuming its a dyno jet. This way I can overlay it with mine

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
Sounds good guys I'll report back im thinking of making up 3 diffrent tunes to run as its 3 pulls for 45$ im running around right now at 15* timing from 2k-7k rpms was thinking about doin a 5k-7k @16* timing. And doing one on a rising scale from 2k @13* and ending at 16/17* at 6500rpm what you guys think? Any ideas or things you wana seen done. Within reason of course.

I'd do 15 degrees, 16, and 17. 17 might be pushing it though with 93 and 10lbs. I'd add some fuel on the 17 degree tune up top. Would be curious to see how much one degree increases power. I wouldn't add timing down low though, might be a little too much torque.

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
Ive seen LS Cars push 17# on 93 with 9.3cr. im planning on pushing my twin turbo ls6 to 20# on the same 93octaine. So i think it would live...lol dunno.. i cleaned up my mtf today car is running great ill pry pull plugs tomarrow and see what they have to say then get it on the trailer Thursday/Friday. I'll do a run at 15* like im running now and then pry bump 4k-7k to 16* and see what happens.

When you get ready for a clutch Drop me a mail cause I am really happy with my setup which is a Zoom ZVT setup along with other parts I car shifts like butter and can handle all the power I have and then some!

Did it make 10lbs the whole pull or start to taper off like the Eaton's tend to do?
Solid numbers. Thought it might have a little more in it. Was it kind of fat?

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
He made the hit at 2k and ran it through was a little less than 9.5# initially then by 3500 it was 9.5 the whole way. My first run at 15* max timing was 446/463 afr was 11.5+/- .3 the from 2800rpm up was alittle fat down to 10.9aft on the inital hit. Ill need ti lean that up

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
So the 340 was only at 47% up top? That's a lot left for just the one pump. I hope my aeromotive stealth 340 is that comfortable.

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
It will be fine. The division x pumps make 340lph at 14volts to and because of the fpdm it only getting 12v at the moment. When i go return style and run the pump at 14v it will have more room. Dont know if it will do e85 though. By the way .47 is 94% so its maxed!

Re: Putting the car on the dyno. 10# on stock clutch.
Having a problem posting dyno graph. Got the graph finally with corrected numbers and a nice little bump from origonally told. 482hp/481tq!
2 degree of timing made 29hp improvement not bad. Last edited by watman02; 06-16-2015 at 10:00 AM. |
