Re: X pipe not sealing

If it is 2004 model year some manufacturers had a extra piece of pipe that fit into driver side flange to prevent leaks. Most list a different part # for 2004 like Bassani.

Re: X pipe not sealing

Yeah I was just gonna say there is a little extra cup adapter piece that usually comes with most aftermarket pipes, It just about a 2" long piece with a cupped end that simply slides into the pipe on the driver side and helps its seal better. I actually have a spare one if you need it.

Wow, did not know this. I put my xpipe on about 2.5 years ago now and it's been leaking for a solid 2. I bought my bassini mid used off here. Maybe I should be looking into a new mid pipe. Thanks for the info!

Re: X pipe not sealing

Actually I did get that with the mid pipe. I think the bolts and stuff just vibrated loose over time.

Also been looking for one of these. Cannot find one anywhere. That part number isn't valid on autoanything.

Re: X pipe not sealing

I just called bassani up and the part number for this sleve is not 4604EK. That is the 02 extensions. They sell the correct part for 15 shipped.

I don't have a part number, but they will know exactly what you are talking about when you call them. Barely even started to explain it and she had it ready to go.

Cool Re: X pipe not sealing

Get some exhaust sealant and glue up the flange the be careful not to cross feed the treads when you put it together.
