New from Metro Detroit

Hi Everyone.

My wife and I bought a 03 DSG Mach 5spd in May of 2013. I have been lurking around on the site since then picking up information. The car was stock when we bought it except for weld in flowmasters. Since then we have added a Steeda shifter, o/r H pipe, and Steeda Sport Springs. Mods planned for this year will be window tint, installing the DD Mach wheels I bought last fall, and maybe a upgrade to 4.10 gears. At some point I would like to supercharge it and am exploring all options and gathering information. The car has been a lot of fun and can't wait to keep working on it. This is my 3rd mustang, before I had a 95 V6 as a first car and a 01 GT that I sold years ago.

Re: New from Metro Detroit

Good deal man! I used to live up there. Alternative Auto in Macomb County is the place to get it tuned at. Also 4:10 will wake it up for sure.

Welcome to the site from Virginia! We have two 04 Mach 1's and one has the 4:10 gears; it does make a big difference.

Re: New from Metro Detroit

Welcome.
I have a brother in Northville that has a beaut of a 69 Boss 302. He does a few car shows and cruises in the Detroit area. Its white and he bought it off the line when he was an engineer for Ford. Maybe you will see him at a show.

Re: New from Metro Detroit

Thanks everyone!

I have heard great things about alternative, I will have to check them out. Livernois Motorsports is minutes from my house so its nice to have options in the area. I attached a crappy pic post spring install. I am planning to good photo shoot this spring/summer once we get the tint and rear wheels on.

Re: New from Metro Detroit

Welcome from another DSG owner. I just love the metallic in the paint when the sun is shining on it. I get lots of compliments at car shows about the color.

Re: New from Metro Detroit

DSG is a great color. My old GT was Mineral Gray and I was a big fan of that. After owning both, I prefer the DSG.
