I've never seen any thread that mentioned that question ever answered, so I doubt it. Maybe Big Brother knows since they're so nosey, but they won't tell us.

Re: How many are left

If you are talking about vintage Mach 1s, there are probably quite a few. I know in 69 over 72,000 were built and over 40,000 in 1970. Not sure how many were built from 1971 to 1979 ??

Sad but true. I think with the retro body style coming back in 05 and increased HP through the later years is what killed the values of the 03/04 Mach 1s. Heck, the new GTs have like 100+ more HP than the Mach 1s. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mach 1, but I dont see it ever going up in value even though it was a limited edition.

I agree. Mod it, drive it, have fun with it. Limited production but still plenty on the road and at dealers for cheap prices.

Re: How many are left

The value of a low mileage mach still isn't that bad. If you think of it this way, these cars are 10 years old now and my car is still worth around $17K - $18K. It only depreciated a little over $1,000 a year which is much better than a lot of cars.

In case people were wondering, mine is a 2004 with 17,500 miles on it in excellent condition.

Re: How many are left

There have been a bunch totaled, I love the 13/14 Mustangs but would never consider trading either one of ours. The TR is running about 750 hp, but I really like getting in my daughters DSG with 4600 miles on it. It makes me smile ear to ear just moving it in the garage.

Re: How many are left

I have 92k on mine now. Enjoyed every mile since I drove her off the lot new.

I would love a 14...but for the money the Mach could be pretty tough

You hit it on the head!! What other car can you buy and have so much fun with?? I paid less for my 04 Mach 1 with only 5400 miles on it than I did on my wife's 2007 Camry when it was new. I have numberous first place awards from local car shows and a second place from 2013 Carlisle Ford Nationals. Everytime I drive it (and I mean EVERYTIME), people stare, give me a thumbs up, say "nice car", or "cool car", or some other compliment. My wife always want to know what is so special about my car. Of course, I always say; "It's all about the shaker baby!!".

The new GTs didn't have more HP than the Mach until 2010, even the stock for stock a Mach will take a 2010 GT in a race. It wasn't until the 5.0L the Mach looked bad. Then again, the Machs are a LOT lighter than the S197s and I have never had an issue with a stock 5.0L, most run similar times I did when I had bolt ons. That being said, the new 5.0L's respond REALLY well to simple mods. Anyways, who buys a mustang for an investment? I bought mine to race and mod it

Must be a woman thing not knowing the coolness of the Mach 1, my wife ask me the same thing all the time when we're out and I get compliments on the Mach. Just recently we were on the way to the mall and about 4 or 5 guys cruising together in really nice restored older muscle (Camaros, Challengers and a Mustangs) slow down giving me thumbs up and she was in a state disbelief that it was happening LOL
