Gloss Black Accents/Trim?

Hey guys,

Idea crossed my mind the other day and began to wonder if it had been done. Everything on our cars comes matte black but I think changing it all over to gloss black would be a really nice touch while maintaining the stock look.

Basically the mirrors would come from a black Cobra (or Cobra mirrors painted), spoiler from a black GT, aftermarket chin spoiler with gloss non textured finish, and aftermarket decals that are gloss as well. Anyone know if something like this has been done? I've kind of seen it with other colors but am really interested in a gloss black style. Would even compliment AFS wheels.

That could be cool, but I personally love the matte black. I got some exterior mods to support it and matte wheels.

Myself, I prefer gloss over matte in 99% of the cases. The Mach/Daytona chargers though, look really good. That being said, I think gloss would look good on most of the colors, maybe even better on DSG.

Me too! I am in the process of plasti dipping my new afs wheels matte black. I think it's gonna look sinister plus it will protect the clear coat of the wheels.

There ya go. Certainly get's my stamp of approval, but I think it's best left to certain colors. Maybe the louder stuff like red, screaming yellow, white, blue, and probably DSG. I'd say I don't have an immediate preference between gloss and matte. Separate but equal.

Yup, that's about it! And I agree on separate but equal. Some of those look really good. If I ever get around to doing it on mine, I'll be sure and post plenty of pictures.
