Also, regarding the boot.... is the one y'all used the same generic one on eBay?

I am looking to do this mod, and just want to make sure it looks as nice as y'alls.

Yes..good to go on the shift knob, but I would recommend this seller for the boot...It's very nice, and real leather.

Re: My New Auto Shifter

I purchased my shift knob through mustangs unlimited and they did not have the O/D button with it so that is actually a good deal.
As for the boot I bought one that goes on a 5 speed Mach 1. I personally think it looks a lot better than the generic ones they have out there.

Nice shifters, I've got the T-Handle but no boot - not totally sold on it yet. I kicked mine off to an angle to better fit my grip, and lovin' it

No, they didn't have an O/D button with it at the time that I purchased mine.

Re: My New Auto Shifter

I called MustangsUnlimited to make sure, and theirs does not include the OD relocation kit now... and then they edited the website to say so.

I, instead ordered from UPR and am getting the shift handle and OD kit for the same price. Part #1059-KIT

Re: My New Auto Shifter

Hey guys I got the new shifter ball and a leather boot from Frankenstang But I cant get the shifterball to slide on, it seems extremely tight or it seems like I cant get it down inside hole deep enough to engage the plunger.

There are so many jokes that could arise from that

Re: My New Auto Shifter

It cleans the bland area that the autos have. Looks uber nice.

Re: My New Auto Shifter

Hate to resurrect an old thread. But this looks awesome ! only question is with the ball for say, what about the button the factory shifter has for the lockout ? I like this pistol grip, is that the button on the top of it ?

http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-b...hift-knob.html

And are you guys using the upr relocate kit and just hiding it with the boot ?

Re: My New Auto Shifter

the button on the shifter for the OD ? And so once you remove the factory shifter do you then lose the locking action the shifter has when in park?

Re: My New Auto Shifter

Explosive, i have this exact shifter on my auto mach and i bought the billet OD button mount and to me it just didnt look right. I put my OD switch under the edge of the console next to my driver seat. just reach down and turn it off or on. I also had a boot mounted to shifter and when i went and bought my rims the tech came in and asked me where the clutch pedal was.

Re: My New Auto Shifter

Kind of getting a list together for stuff if like to do this summer and I have the OD figured out but my other question was how about the lockout on the shifter you know how you have to push the button to get the car out of park, just it just lose the function when you do this or is there a trick I'm not seeing ?

Never mind did some research and found that you just push down on the handle
