How much are they charging? I'd imagine $1000+

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

So on the Eaton swap thread post #16 talks about wiring up the connector for the iat2. I don't understand which wires I'm supposed to use when soldering to the pigtail. Can anyone help me out?

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

What are you guys doing for the knock sensors? I noticed a few of you ground the stock mounting boss flush with the valley. Whats up with that?

Are most of you guys deleting them all together? Or are you moving them to the back of the cylinder heads?

Heres what I did with mine:

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

I just bolted to back of heads and extended the wiring harness since the car is not a race car and I drive it a good bit I want to keep them in case I get bad tank of gas or something hopefully it will pull timing if it starts to detonate

Here is a semi finished eaton swap with custom brackets

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

They are deleted all together. Apparently Cobras don't come equipped with them at all.

Cobras have their limits too. But if you can incorporate them into your build power to you.

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

I talked to don lasota a couple weeks ago and he said they didnt have knock sensors due the noise the blower makes can cause it to pull timing when nothing is wrong. i was going to relocate them too But after talking to him Im just deleting them too

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

Their sensitivity can be turned down in the tune if u want to keep them incase they are picking up feed back from the blower just another piece of mind

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

Pcmoore85 and musclemerc, how much have you two spent on doing the swap using those brackets.

Im doing another eaton swap. Does it count if it was already on the car, but I wasn't happy with how it was done, so im taking it all back off and redoing it?

How about if im swapping motors out too?

If thats the case, im working on two right now.

Knock sensors, I ground the bosses off because otherwise the cobra lower intake will NOT sit in the valley like it is supposed to. Didn't care for them either so no reason for me to relocate them. SAFE TUNE is key. Never tried to push the limits by maxing out timing or boost.

My swap is in a Marauder using a Trilogy SC, it cost a little more than a conventional Eaton Swap, they normally run between $3000.00~ $3500.00

Terry's brackets will work on any modular 4v engine timing cover, engine in or out

The Cobra lower intake will sit square with the knock sensors in the valley. I just posted a few pics of mine after I ground about 5/16" off the top then I drilled/tapped a stud through the side of the mounting boss.

here is my Trilogy swap:

Soon hopefully. I'm getting a base tune so I can drive it to my tuner but I gave a coolant leak coming from the bell housing so I'm pulling the blower off this weekend to hopefully find a simple and quick fix, fingers crossed!
