Sorry, I got 'into it' and forgot to take pictures.

I just connected high pressure fuel hose from the pump directly to the metal hat. I also drilled two 5/16" holes in the bottom of the basket thinking this would prevent fuel pump starvation. Was it required? Not completely sure, but my fuel flows very well.

Re: Fuel Pump

wouldnt that bypass the fuel pressure reg by going straight to the hat?
if not then where is the fuel pressure reg? here is a pic int he first post of the link that has a return going back into the bucket. did you bypass that too?? or is the sender differnet?

Re: Fuel Pump

The fuel pressure regulator is on the end of the fuel rail and yes, I bypassed the return into the bucket as well.

Re: Fuel Pump

The regulator on the end of the fuel rail works in conjunction with the FPDM to pulse the fuel pump in order to maintain a certain pressure level. That isn't being bypassed. There is a return line directly off the pump on top of the bucket lid in the tank. That is being bypassed.

I am running a returnless system.

Re: Fuel Pump

Yellow wire coming off fuel hat into tank?
I looked at a wiring scematic and it's not even listed?
When I fill the tank now, the gauge does not read and the low fuel light stays on. The fuel leveler does not seem to be caught on anything.

Re: Fuel Pump

The yellow wire is the fuel level sensor signal wire. That has to be connected. There is a white wire that screws to the bottom of the fuel level sender as well. That is the ground wire. Make sure both are connected well.
