Advance auto has studs and nuts for it for like $8 .Stay away from them or will that work? Dormant is the brand I'm pretty sure

If you have access to a tumbler, toss the studs and nuts in it over night. I used pecan shell and the hardware looks great and threaded together great.

Re: Stage 8 locking bolts wont thread!

beware of the dormant/whatever its called. I ran them on my car because they were so cheap... well, sure enough the nuts SUPPLIED with the bolts DONT WORK! cross threading pieces of crap. I did use the studs, and had no issues, but actually bought new nuts for the studs. I would have reused the stockers for a 3rd time, but damaged a few at some point

Re: Stage 8 locking bolts wont thread!

I'm just gonna reuse the stock studs and nuts now if I still can't get the locking bolts to thread in. Where did u get better nuts that will thread the studs from dorman? Places like menards? Any specific nut that would hold better?

Re: Stage 8 locking bolts wont thread!

I just bought some random ones from HD, cannot recommend that thought being I only have 2,000 miles on them and im not sure how long they will stay tight. Ill probably bite the bullet this spring when I have the headers off for trans work and just buy oem stuff and not tear them up
