Re: Belt Help!!

I used this kit, a little pricey but you will never have another problem with belt slip again.

what other benefits have you found from going to an 8-rib??

If running a reasonable amount of boost (mines @ 10lbs) I run a Goodyear Gatorback an no issues

Well I run more boost than you guys currently 15lbs. The smaller pulley I use has less wrap around so it has a tendency to slip easier. My 6 rib would go through a belt around every 6 mos at 10lbs with this set up there is no slip at all and the belt seems to be wearing a lot better. You can also try a thumper tensioner on your six rib. It will help save the belt.

the blower pulley says "3.90" on the backside.

the back of the pulley looks like it has 3.90 etched into it. does that .10" difference matter in belt size? between 3.90" and 4.00" i dont know if that .10" equates to a significant difference in belt size.

i really appreciate your help bro!!!

Re: Belt Help!!

No it doesn't mean anything, your tensioner should take it up easy
