Re: Cams are in!
Crower customs for nitrous . I got them for dirt cheap still brand new in the box because the guy that bought them decided to go turbo.
Here are the specs 4.6/5.4 32 valve intake: duration 258 lift .425 exhaust duration 270 lift .425 rocker arm ratio 1.80 Duration at .050 lobe lift intake 216 exhaust 232 intake .236 exhaust .236 Lobe separation 116 Specs at the cam: .050 intake 247 200 exhaust 258 216 I just took it on a test drive to check out my air fuel ratio and this thing pulls harder on motor above 5k than it did with the 100 shot zex kit. |

Here is the dyno numbers na and nitrous
http://[/IMG] Here are the nitrous runs. [IMG][/IMG] The only reason I used a Mustang dyno was this local guy already has the Sniper software that I use and he cuts a break on the tuning for nitrous. So I'll set up an appointment and see how much I gained with the cams and the nitrous tune. |

Re: Cams are in!
200/216 @ .050" at the valve, is that correct? Or is it 216/232@.050" at the valves? I'm thinking is has to be the latter.

Re: Cams are in!
The have a serious amount of exhaust duration but that's common for Crower customs. The intake duration is mild which is good for nitrous and the longer exhaust dur will keep the heat down, another plus for n2o.

Re: Cams are in!

We did'nt try the nitrous because the stock tranny is on the way out. The shop I took it to didn't really seem like they new what they where doing. They were supposed to tune the car but he said his software wasn't working so we just ran it on a na tune I made from last year with stock cams. I don't know what correction factors he used but the torque seems way out of whack and the horsepower seems a bit high for a stock intake. On a side note I think i'll take it to a regular dynojet to double check these results. |
