serpentine belt issue - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

I've went through 2 belts within 6k miles at least.. the ribbed part of the belt is fine no cracks or anything but the top side smooth part has grooves in it from where it looks like it is slightly rubbing against something.. could my tensioner be going bad? It does squeak upon a cold start but once warmed up it doesn't do it at all.. thanks for the help everybody

can you take some pics of the belt and the front of the motor?

I did this recently. Make sure the pulley is on the bottom of the top left idler pulley (looking at the engine) and not the top. Check that out as I make the same mistake.

U sir are correct! Just looked at it and its on the top of it. That explains it think u very much!
