Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
That shotgun looks like what they called a Browning Sweet 16. I bought one in about 1967-68. It was a great shooting gun. Wish I still had it to pass on to my boys. But being as they are both cops, they don't need any more toys.

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
Funny how hobbies seem to go together. Seems to me that a lot of people who are into cars are also into guns and watches. Just an observation.
I'm also looking at getting a handgun in the spring. Probably just for the range for me. Got a buddy going to work for the FBI, should be fun to go shooting with him.

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
oh dear lord, you have no clue how bad i'm looking for that 22 now. my dad is very much against guns, but i know between the fact that our last name is Walther (yes, direct descendants) and that it looks like a James Bond (huge fan) gun would turn him. plus it's not a big cartridge so it wouldn't beat him up for a first firearm...

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
got a .12ga pardner pump for home defense and a ruger SR9C for a carry. Personally, I love the sr9c, I have put well over 2,000 rounds through it and never had a jam or any malfunction. Clean it after every shooting too. Ive shot M&P's, glocks but love the feeling of the ruger and its a great gun to conceal too.

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
yup. Taurus Judge, Stainless & 3" Barrel
Pretty cool Gun, has a hell of a kick when shooting the 45 Colt wadcutters. The Winchester PDX isn't cheap and not easy to find. Hopefully I'll get to the range this week to try that out. So in NJ you can only buy 1 pistol every 30 days and you have to get purchase permits for each one. The purchase permits take a minimum of 30 days. So needless to say I can't buy another pistol till I get another Permit. But, I have a Springfield 1911 .45 on order and I'm looking at the Kimber ultra carry. But I have to wait, wait, wait. Ugh enjoy your freedoms, NJ Ain't Got Any

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
The Taurus is Rifled, so Technically it is a Pistol.
Why not the Kimber?

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
here is one of mine. that i have pictures of. i am the 3rd owner of this old model Ruger Vaquero 45LC with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. the 1st owner literally only shot 1 box of ammo thru the gun and put it up and eneded up selling it when he was tight on money. and the guy that bought it from him just bought it to help him out so he just put it in he desk at work and it sat there for 5 years and never once shot it, and while i was working at a pawn shop a year ago he came in and was wanting a little cash because he was going on vacation and didnt want it anymore. so i bought it from the store at cost for $250 for a brand new old model vaquero
and here she is a year later with new checkered spanish rosewood grips that my brother got form me for cmas. and it is by far the most accurate smooth handling gun i have ever held or shot in my life other than a 1911

Re: i'm willing to bet there are a few gun folks on here...
and my carry gun is a Sig P238 that i also got from the pawn shop i use to work at for $214 because the guy pawned the gun for 200 and never came back for it. it was slightly used with very very little wear in its factory box with all the paperwork and books for the gun. i dont have any pictures and im to lazy to go out to the car right now but here is what it looks like
and i ended up getting a 7rd extended mag for it also i was also surprised with how accurate this gun is at 25 yards. i was shooting a 2'' to 3'' gap around the bulls eye
