Bad day for my Mach!

Need to vent !
Went to lunch, as I was driving back, I curbed my rim now it has nice big scratches on it. Then I go to BP to get a snack, and nearly fall on my ***, as the ground by the pump had oil on it and its raining and was slippery. As I try and stop my fall my keychain puts a nice big scratch on the rear quarterpanel!! I went in and told those assclowns they had better put something down quick before someone gets hurt and they get sued (which they almost did had I gotten hurt!)

I guess at least I can only take credit for the curbing one.

There. I feel better now. NOT!

Re: Bad day for my Mach!

Me too. I mean one thing in a day is bad enough, but two?? sheesh. You wish you had a time machine and could go back a day.

If anyone else has similar stories feel free to share! lol

Re: Bad day for my Mach!

Bummer. I had a close call yesterday. I stopped in at State Farm yesterday to drop off a check for my mother-in-law. I was looking out the front window of the office talking to the receptionest when a huge suburban lost control, drove through a ditch, jumped the curb, and side-swiped the State Farm sign. That sign saved my car and a wole lot of grief for me.

Re: Bad day for my Mach!

Park it at home and walk away from it for the rest of the day. No need to see if things come in 3s.

Yeah, I curbed my chrome right front rim with my old Z28. Had a small nick in it and the tire was a goner by the time I got home (very short trip). It bothered me at first, but then I realized that it wasn't too bad and nobody else would probably even notice.

Re: Bad day for my Mach!

I've never curb rashed a rim in my life until about 1 month after I got my AFS rims afew years back. I was pretty ticked off, but unless your looking directly at the rim within a foot or so, you can't tell.

I don't see how people curb wheels. I've never done this *knock on wood* but I honestly don't see how I ever will.

Tempting the curb gods I see. .

They usually are momentary miscalculations, but with the heft and size of the curbs (particularly at the entryway of establishments), they sure are putting themselves in harms way a lot more than in the past. Bad enough that we have to be careful about backing into a parking space or going in front first. Now, some of the chokehold entry/exits curbs are like sirens calling out to our wheels.
