Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

I don't recall but if I remember correct, the milage is stored in the computer not in the cluster so it will read the correct milage for your car. If I'm wrong, I will find out the correct milage but I'm guessing less then 50k.

It's on the cluster not the comp!

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

^^^ after further research, I have concluded that you are correct. Thanks for clarifying.

I can hook the cluster up to my Mach and pull the miles this weekend and post it up if needed, just let me know.

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

LOOKnGo,

I’ve looked at you over the past several years on this site to be a very respectable person. You have even answered several questions for me during the earlier years. So I was a little shocked when I opened up my thread to find what appears to be a very derogatory response. I’m really surprised that you didn’t first contact me via PM if you felt my thread was misleading or contained inaccurate information.

With that being said, I’ll be more then happy to address your two concerns in open forums. Regarding your first concern on the price, I did a quick search on ebay and other areas on the net to see what seemed to be a common asking price for the cluster. I know this isn’t always the most accurate indication of what something is worth. I’m a true believer that something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. That is why I’ve included “OBO”. If someone can convince me that they are giving me a fair asking price then I’ll be happy to accept it.

On to your 2nd concern, the picture I posted was when I first got the cluster. I too was concerned with the speed and RPM needles being pegged but once I installed the cluster in my Mach and the gauges did the sweep test, everything functioned as normal and the speed and RPM needles returned to there normal positions. I will post pictures tonight if it’s not to late showing the correction and I will also list the mileage for those that would like to know.
I hope this has cleared up any confusion but if not, feel free to ask further questions as I’m not here to take advantage of anyone nor do I wish to be taken advantage of.

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

I will offer a garentee as far is posting a video of the gauges working if a potential buyer sees a need to request it. However, as with any electronic devise that isn't installed by me, that's the best I can provide. I hope you will agree that that's as far as can be when dealing with used electronic equipment.

If that was your only concern, why didn't you ask it in the first place? I didn't realize you became a moderator for the "for sale" section. I guess a congratulations is in order.

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

I guess that's why I was concerned when you started asking, you are (or at least was) the goto guy for Cobra parts. No hard feelings from this end of the keyboard. I hope the same can be said from your end.

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

I hope the next group of pictures will help clear up any concerns about the quality or function of the gauges.

1st picture shows the gauges at rest, just like the picture LOOKnGo provided

Next few shows that the gauges can be moved to the "pegged" position

wish it was this easy to get a full tank of gas

Re: 2003-2004 Cobra gauge cluster

Next one shows the cluster in my Mach and the key on. Notice all the gauges are in the correct position.

Her is a shot while the gauges are doing a test sweep. This is done any time you plug a cluster in. Feel free to test it yourself.

Last but not least, I found a scratch on the lower right corner and wanted to make any potential buyers aware. See LOOKnGO, I look out as well.

Because of the scratch and the milage was not even close to what I was expecting, I'm lowering the price to $200 obo.
