GT Owner in Va, looking to turn GT into a Mach Vert

Hey Everybody,

So like the title says, i have been a GT owner for about 10 years now and unfortunatly my GT has fallen into a less than great state of repair, so my brother and I have decided to turn the car into a project car.

My idea is to basically turn the car into a Mach1 vert.
Right now i have a 2 valve Black GT Vert Automatic, with boltons

And the plan is to turn it into a 4valve manual with the shaker , keep it NA but go long tubes and maybe stroke it out to a 5.0. And once the go is in place, im thinking of painting it either torch red or azure blue like my brothers Mach. (Say Hi Brother)

Hopefully i can get some good ideas here and maybe get some tips from you guys too.

We have a vert Mach on our forum. Do a search and you should find him. He has Mach seats, dash. The whole nine. Might be able to help you out.

WELCOME.
There been a couple people that have turned a GT convertible into a Mach 1 Converitble. If done correctly, they look nice. Finding all the Correct parts might cost you a bit...

Re: GT Owner in Va, looking to turn GT into a Mach Vert

Good luck, know a guy who did a 03 Cobra, from a wrecked Mystichrome, and 01(I think) Base V6. EVERY part of the car is Cobra, but the VIN and Shell is a Base V6. I have pics from MW in 08.

Re: GT Owner in Va, looking to turn GT into a Mach Vert

Welcome from Massachusetts Here's a picture of my 04 GT Vert Mach clone. No Mach emblems either. Although I did trade it in for a low milage 04 Black Mach but only after 90000 miles on the Vert.

Sounds cool! If you are doing a color change I would do that prior to the engine install so the engine bay can be painted to match.
