Did I just fill up with regular gas instead of premium??? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

So I just worked a hour day and had a drama bomb go off at the tail end of it with a co-worker. So I had that on my mind as I filled up 3/4 of my tank with premium (I THINK??

) What if I goofed an put in regular? I drive during my job and drive probably 3 different cars a week, with the mach being the only premium. I've read that prolonged goofs can cause damage. I called the gas store back but had to look it up on my phone during the drive home and it took too long, so too many cars had come through for them to look it up at the gas station. How can I find out, and what can I do?

oh, and I can't tell if it's lagging. Still can squak the tires in second and the third squak is hit or miss most times anyways. I think it's a head game now and it "feels" more sluggish cuz I'm worried. Lemme know pls

Time for a weekend road trip. Just drive the @#$% out of it. Fill up with premimum at 1/2 full marker. Enjoy driving your Mach.

1 tank wont hurt it as long as you dont do any multiple 7000 rpm shifts, I recommend none. lol

If it wasn't tuned for 93 don't worry about it. If it was tuned for 93, just don't go full throttle until you get some good gas in there.

I did that one time, but only had put in a quarter of a tank when I realized what I had done. I don't think it is going to hurt anything if you drive it conservatively.

Every now and then if I know I'm going to do just highway, I'll fill it with 89 octane, just because I'm a cheap ba$tard...

If you put 3/4 tank of 87 in it, I would drive nice and easy, maybe pick up some octane boost/injector cleaner for the tank, kill two birds with one stone, and then top off with 93 octane..

filling with mid grade and adding octane booster really defeats the purpose of getting the cheap gas in the first place. 2$ difference vs adding a 4$ bottle of crap.

Unless you only have 55$ and you really want a coke, i would say get the low and enjoy your soda..especially if your just road tripping it.

I got better mpg with low grade.. want to know how?

I didn't say I put in 89 octane and added booster to compensate..

He said he may have filled it with 87 octane.

I guess you don't get your receipts? I'd always, if I were you, get the receipt's. It's easier that way.
