Exhaust coming from under gas tank?!?
I saw a Black Mach1 today and the exhaust was running from under the tank kind of splitting right before the tank (I think similar to the cobra) I k ow the Mach exhaust makes more a straight path... Any ideas?!?

Re: Exhaust coming from under gas tank?!?
It was probably a Mach 1 with an IRS swap.

Re: Exhaust coming from under gas tank?!?
I will take stab at it and say IRS swap.
IMHO that exhaust setup looks so much better than ours.

Re: Exhaust coming from under gas tank?!?
That was the only reasonable thing I could think of as well...what would be the point of doing an IRS swap??? And what are the advantages/disadvantages to it?

Re: Exhaust coming from under gas tank?!?
Better for corner carving, not as good for drag racing unless you throw alot of money at it (research IRS red pill). It provides for a smoother ride especially over bumps than a live axle.

did the IRS swap from a cobra about 2yrs ago, now back to stock solid. but i do miss the ride quality, but love the track response of the solid.

Were those 17x10.5's on the rear? What size rubber were you running?
