Just curious what you all use to keep the shaker nice and black (besides painting it)?

It's a cleaner you'll find at Harley shops. You can use it on the chin spoiler, too. I bought it at Wal-Mart once a long time ago, but never saw it there again.

I have tried alot of different products. Even Breakfree CLP(firearm lube).

I found autozone had some autoglym products, good stuff. I picked up the "tyre dressing". The stuff is great, exactly what I have been looking for. I use it on the chin spoiler, grill delete, shaker, front wheel wells, and tires.

Its cheap, give it a try.

Turtle Wax Ice works OK,
Back to black works good.
If you are in an area that gets a lot of sun, it won't last really long.
The only other alternative is to get it stripped
and powdercoated with crinkle black.

Aerospace 505..works great.. and you don't have to take the shaker off to do it.. wipe on and your done.. for about 6 months

I just used back to black on the shaker, the chin piece, and around the windshield wipers and it looks as good as new! Gotta get Meguiars BACK TO BLACK!!! I never even wiped excess of like it says to do and it worked awesome
