FS: 1998 Cobra cams

For sale is a set of 1998 Cobra cams. They have about 101k miles on them. No rust, no scratches, nicks, or anything. They're rust free. I will take photos this afternoon and post them up. The cams are located in Rapid City and buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Asking $200 plus shipping from zip code 57703. Thanks.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

No trades. I don't have a Mustang, so trading for Mustang parts is pointless for me.

If it's too pricey, make an offer. I'm flexible on the price. I would just like to unload them.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

I tried to take pics of all of the part numbers, but I couldn't get a clear picture of them, so I wrote them down. They are as follows as stamped on the cams:

1:
F6LE-6A271-BB
464VLM1485S1

2:
F2LE-6A272-AE
484VRM3495E1

3:
F6LE-6A270-BB
464VRM1485R4

4:
F2LE-6A273-AE
464VLM2515G6

A pic:

The pending sale is no longer pending. They're still for sale. $150 plus shipping.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

Those part numbers are the stampings that are on the cams. I couldn't get a clear photo of them otherwise I would've just posted a pic. I assure you that they are the stock cams removed from a 1998 Cobra. I removed them from the motor myself.

Give me $150 total and I'll take it. That's about $130 plus shipping.

Will you put insurance on these when you ship them? The last time i bought a set of these all i got was an empty box, lost the cam's and the money.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

whoever bought this cams you will also need a different sprocket bolt to get these to bolt up. You can order it from Tousely ford for about $4 each you will need one for each side. Or you can go ARP and pay $20 each. Just an FYI as I had to order some this week.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

Not trying to ruin your thread, but I have a set of true 98 cobra intake cams on the bench in the garage, and the part #'s are

F6ZE - 6A270
F6ZE - 6A271

Check this thread, nasvt listed the proper part numbers for all 4V cams. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...d.php?t=110422

Just because they came out of a 98 Cobra, does not mean they are the right cams. Just FYI!

I'll look at my cams again and see if what I thought was an L in the first group of numbers is a Z for the intake cams.

And thanks for questioning my integrity. Thumbs up!

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

Wasnt trying to question your integrity. Just trying to save you and your buyer the hassle of buying and selling the wrong cams. On another note, the cams look really clean, and in good shape! The exhaust cam numbers match up. Maybe you read the part numbers wrong...

I must have either read them wrong or written them down wrong. I was in the garage and the lighting wasn't great. The cams are in phenomenal shape. They're individually stored in plastic wrap and each wrapped in cardboard. The packaging they're in is the packaging that Crower sends their cams in. I tok the Crower cams out and put the '98 Cobra cams in.

I have the entire history of the car the cams came out of docuemented via build sheets (my build and the previous build) and receipts and none of them ever had any cam swaps or anything else aside from when I swapped them out, so there is no way possible that these are not the original 1998 Cobra cams. I'd bet my paycheck on it.

Re: FS: 1998 Cobra cams

I figured the numbers were read wrong, because I didn't know of an F6LE cam that Ford made. These should sell quick!

Let me verify the part numbers first before I sell you something. I'm confident they're right, but I want you to be confident I'm right as well.

As far as payment goes, I take paypal.

If your close to a walmart i'll do a money transfer tomorrow and you can have the money within 5 minutes, that way you can ship them the first of the week.
