My first dyno!!

Well I finally broke down and put the girl on the dyno....Looking for some feed back on this

The car made 275hp and 298tq

Is this good for a Auto with K&N fipk, accufab 60mm, SCT tune, o/r x, and slp loud mouth II? The car also has 4.10's and the guy that did the dyno said that I would lose some numbers because of the gears. Is this true?

Re: My first dyno!!

Sounds low considering your list of mods. I dyno'd all stock 5spd except a JLT RAI 273HP/284 Torque. I've attached a copy of my dyno sheet.

Re: My first dyno!!

4.10s will eat some power, roughly 5 on your car

Did he custom tune it? What kind of dyno?

Re: My first dyno!!

Its was a dyno jet....no custom tune, just used the tune that was on the car from the hand held

Get a good dyno tune and you'll pick up 20+tq and 5-10hp

Re: My first dyno!!

I figured that much but from talking to other ppl and watching videos of these cars (automatic) they claimed that they made they same if not close with less mods? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLr_ivWELoM

haha I dont think you understand, there are many different types of dynos, Mustang dynos dont have anything to do with mustangs thats just the name of the dyno its a loaded dyno and dynojets are not loaded ones.

haha its ok man, a loaded dyno puts resistance on the wheels like its on a road in real life, this makes for more accurate tuning and dyno numbers. A dynojet or other unloaded dyno just spins the rollers freely meaning there is no resistance on the wheels so they put down higher numbers usually

Well thanks for the info.....they gave me a quote for a 67mm turbo kit to help the numbers look better

Re: My first dyno!!

you numbers i think are fine for it being a auto and you having those gears.

yeap for a great dyno do it on a mustang dyno, reads more of true hp/tq numbers,

here is example when i went and got mine dyno it was just on a mustang dyno and i was at 554rwhp on a dyno jet i prob be up past 590rwhp, the mustang dyno is more for true numbers and the dynojet is more for hey this is how much i can make, get it, hope this helps

yea you really need to get it on a dyno tune when you get a chance be alot better numbers and power gain
