Fitment Cobra Fuel tank and pumps on Mach 1

Hello,

I am in the process of installing a procharger P1SC and I have come accross the posibility to buy a used 03/04 cobra tank with the dual pumps in it. But i would like to know the following:

Is this tank and fule pump setup a direct bolt on?

- do the fuel lines, evap lines, and fuel filler tube fit?

- are the wire harness the same?

- what about the FPDM, does any one know if the cobra has one or two FPDMS? and if there cobra only uses one FPDM is it the same as the one we have in the mach.

Regards,

Regards,

it is a direct fit...everything snaps in just like your stock tank. I did the swap a while ago...

+1 Direct fit, all plug-and-play.

I installed a Cobra tank and pumps when I did my charger.

Yep, bolts in.
Hardest part is swapping over the rollover valve, etc.

Hello,

Some poeple are saying is a direct replace but i also see a statement "--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yep, bolts in.
Hardest part is swapping over the rollover valve, etc. "

So is it a direct fit or is there some stuff that needs to be swaped from my original fuel tank to the cobra tank?

Will I need to retune the car if the only thing i am doing is swaping out the tank and pumps for the Cobra tank with dual pumps?

I was told by a tuner, no need for a tune if that is the only change.

Blue canisters and possibly filler tube need to be swapped, depending on what exactly you're buying.

Usually I did the tank swap before getting tuned so no help there.

I swapped the plastic evap lines that run along the front of the tank. Where it "W" or "T's" off back to the stock evap. line you will be pulling it tight with the stock cobra lines. The mach fit perfect and give you room without having to pull it super tight. It is just removing 2 crimp clamps and putting 2 new clamps on after swapping the mach evap lines over to the cobra tank.

It is just the 2 black evap lines your swapping not the whole canisters or anything else.

I would think you would need a retune because you are changing something in the fuel system and it will move more fuel then what it did before. 1 FPDM will work with the stock pumps but when you upgrade the pumps you need 2 FPDM or a mod FPDM.

Everything else has been answered...

I remember the harness being the same. Didn't have to cut/splice anything.

The FPDM is the same for the GT/Mach1/Cobra. Just a single FPDM. Same Ford part number for them.

Yep. I used my stock FPDM from the mach. Like he said they are the same.
