Favres streak is over at 297 games. I'm sure some of you are probably happy but I wanted to see him reach atleast 300 but I am glad I got to see his 296th career start.

I thought he might go out there, hand off the ball a few times, and leave after that. He must be hurting pretty bad to not try to extend his streak.

I don't agree with doing that at all just to extend some record. He got lucky in the past with injuries he's gotten where they had a bye week or did'nt play for 10 days or whatever. It could have easily ended afew years back. That record should stand forever anyway.

i hate how ESPN is making it seem more like he died than missed a start...

i mean, he must be feeling like death to have missed it, though...

doesn't matter, only Peyton Manning is close and even he's not close...

I was hoping he would make it to 300 but it is what it is. Was one heck of a run for sure but I am glad that they didn't start and park him...

I think they should have and I m not a Favre fan. Wouldve been cool to have witnessed the 300th game.

I remember afew years back when the Packers played the Giants and Michael Strahan was going for the sack record. Almost at the end of the game Favre hikes the ball and basically laid on the ground so Strahan could sack him and get the record. What a crock that was. I remember when Gastineau set the sack record in the early 80's.
