FINALLY! The GT500 is here

After waiting 3 long months since I ordered the car, I got to pick it up today. It was a bitter sweet moment. Sweet that I now have a GT500 Bitter in that this car is dam expensive.

It will go nicely next to the Mach1 in my garage.

They did. I drove it to the gas station with the salesman. He put in a little less than 14 gallons.

Re: FINALLY! The GT500 is here

I am not sure if this is true but I was told by the dealer when I picked up my car that the GT500 has some kind of sensor that burns out when the car has about 60 miles on it. then the blower kicks in and all hell brakes loose...

Not 100% sure about this tho

Re: FINALLY! The GT500 is here

When I saw that 2.2 MPG I had to take a pic. It was at 18.5 when I got home.

The car does come with the supercharger disabled. It takes 5 continuous miles or 50 starts to enable it. When I was coming back from the gas station I floored it in second. It was a dog.

The convertible was a no brainer. It is my third that I have owned. We have great convertible weather down here from October to May.

Thanks everybody. I plan to have some fun in this car.

I trust you put 5 continuous miles on it quickly?

Re: FINALLY! The GT500 is here

The one we had at the dealership we reflashed the ECM to enable the blower. Ford told us that it restricts the throttle position to 20ish percent for 50 miles even if you have it wide open. The owner said he couldn't wait the the 50 miles for the ECM to reset itself. lol

Love the no stripes :ORANGE:

Re: FINALLY! The GT500 is here

Just got back from a run to Galveston. The car is pretty lively now

I can't wait for Fall to get here 'cause it's hot as hell down here today. I drove around for about an hour with the top down and got sunburned.

The reason I went stripeless is because the only availabe stripes for my car with the SVTPP was RED. I don't want no ugly azz narrow red stripes on my car or the seats. Now if they had black or silver available with the SVTPP it would have stripes on it.

Re: FINALLY! The GT500 is here

I can honestly say that is one car that I would have zero problems with getting rid of the Mach towards, but I cannot stomach what my car payment would be.

Very nice and I am envious!

Enjoy, safe driving, and let the mods begin!
