Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???

Came out of a restaurant last nite and about 6-7 people were standing near my car. Guy goes, "so theres the owners of the bad Mach". Guy goes that ram air scoop really makes it stand out and look like the old Machs. The 300 hp 6 cyl thing seems to bother some of you. Tell you what will get you over that real quick, roll the windows down, run 2nd gear up to bout 3500 and then let off. Dont care how many hp that 6 has, it ll never have that sound. :ORANGE: |

Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???
i agree with most people here..i would love to get one of the new gt's but do i really wana pay 35k+ for it..uhh not really.. i can get a built motor and a supercharger + suspension mods for way less than that. as most people said im going to wait about a year or so and see what the people who bought them say about the car.. i never like to get first production cars..i want them to work out all the kinks first then maybe in 2012 buy one =0

Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???
I've said it before on here, but I own both a GT & a Mach, & there are things I love about both cars. But GT's are everywhere, & I can drive around for weeks & not see a Mach on the road. It's the uniqueness of Mach's that set them apart.

Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???
I don't think $35,000 is a bad sticker price for a 2011 Mustang GT. Hell, back in 2002-early 2003 you had to shell out $30,000 for a Mach and an '03 Cobra was stickered at $35,000. That's way more outrageous being 7 years ago. I was'nt complaining at the price when I ordered my '03. I would'nt have the funds to afford a brand new Mustang now. Things have changed since back then. I've never been too keen on the '05+ bodystyle either.

Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???
My backs starting to suck-azz, 6-speed might have to go. I bet by April-May of next year there will be a nice selection of used but under 10k Gt's around. Probably close to the 30k mark. An automatic might be nice....

The 2011+ is sure growing on me, but I love the Mach. I'll probably wait awhile and see what kind of special editions might come out...maybe a new Mach or Bullitt Mustang would be sweet.

Re: Sell or Trade Mach for 412 HP 2011 GT ???
I got a price on a basic 2011 GT with a 3.73 rear for 29k. Really isn't a bad deal. I weighed the fact that all components would be new. So I'd have a LOT of miles to race with. Crashing would be another story, hehe. I don't even want to know what it would cost to repair!
Then, reality hit. I'd need a cage, tires, wheels, exhaust, suspension and a whole host of other things. So it wouldn't pay. But it is tempting....... NOT having a car payment at the moment is another thing.
