black plastic dilemma

Does anyone have any recommendations for removing small cleaner/wax spots from the chin spoiler? I was not careful enough when using Meguire's cleaner and now have white marks that won't come off.

I've seen where Klasse Plastic & Vinyl Treatment and Mothers Back to Black have been suggested for fading, but I'm just looking to remove the marks left by the cleaner.

I was just about to post about this! I go a teeny tiny spot on my chin spoiler and want to get it off as well.

Try Simple Green and a soft tooth brush. Should do the trick.

Agree with that. You can even use danw dish soap on the spoiler if you don't have simple green around the house.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try them both, and post my results for any others interested.

Been using black shoe polish (Kiwi) for years to keep my mirrors and other rough finish black plastic parts looking new.

If a little wax happens to get on these parts, due to my carelessness , the black shoe polish covers it very well.

I worked my way from the back of the car to the front of the car, and I was mostly careful everywhere else. I think I was just tired and more carelessby the time I got to the front. Luckily mine is a tiny spot. Just glad people had suggesstions to get it off for ' kr4336' -- I'm trying it too (when its a little warmer outside).

a pecil ersaer works great. only use this on the UNPAINTED black plastic, mirrors, chinspoiler, window molding, cowl panel... I have using this for years on various different cars and have never had any problems.
