Ford Motor Company - Back in Black

While Toyota is taking a shot on the chin over its accelerator problems, and GM and Chrysler have the Federal Government pulling their strings, Ford is starting to show signs of life again!

That's good stuff, it goes to show what can happen even in the most perilous situations when there is solid leadership, quality products, common sense and an eye on the bottom line. Congratulations Ford!

That is great their building it in the USA, but I've heard locally, that Ford is cutting 1200 jobs at the Louisville, KY truck plant (home of the Super Duty!). Is that were current Explorer is made?

EDIT: the article goes on to say their building the Explorer currently at the Louisville plant, but it's going to be retooled for smaller vehicles.

Also, what is up with the strange rearview side mirrors-they look like they are drooping?

I kick myself for not buying Ford stock in Nov-Dec 08. It went to under a $1 at one point. But I was scared with the bailout and bankruptcy talk, I d buy it and it be worthless. 5000 shares today would have me pretty.

I remember Joe Charles bought a bunch at $1.50 or something.
Smart move on his part.
