Wheel hub

Anyone ever change a wheel hub on their mach?? I think mines going bad, there's a bad humming coming from the passenger side and there's a lot more brake dust on that wheel as well. Any help on how to change these would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there's a better than stock replacement, I'd be interested, I like to drive hard and take the car autocrossing as well to the strip. Thanks again

Re: Wheel hub

I've replaced the front drivers side hub assembly on mine. It's not real difficult, but you do need one humongous socket. I don't recall what size, but I do remember that the stock retaining nut was one size, and the replacement, which you can only get from Ford because of some patent BS, was a different size. You can't reuse the stock retaining nut or the plastic hub cover, they are one use only. I just replaced it with a stock OEM type from the local auto parts store, it ran about $92 as I remember. Haven't had an issue with it or the passenger side stocker as of yet.

Re: Wheel hub

I reused mine also torqued to spec with no probs. I have checked it a couple of times just to check the torque and still good. No probs at all with the swap I went with a hub made in the U.S.A. but I dont recall the name. I would have to check my receipts.
