Thinkin of buying this mach...what are your thoughts?

Found this black mach in town. It's got the 03-04 chrome cobra wheels with a billit gas cap cover, both of which will be replaced. It needs 1 wheel and and alignment.

FORD MUSTANG MACH1 BLACK WITH 63K MILES, VERY LOW MILAGE FOR AN 2003!!! "GOOD CONDITION" HAS BRAND NEW MAC 3" CAT-BACK EXHAUST AND HAS A MAC OFF ROAD H-PIPE,HAS 2004 SVT COBRA WHEELS.HAS BRAND NEW CLUTCH. HAS LOWERING KIT WITH CASTER CHAMBER PLATE MADE BY EIBACH,ALSO HAS AFTER MARKET SUB-FRAME CONNECTORS. ADULT DRIVEN CAR!!

We're hovering around $10,000. I'm new to the forum and you guys are the experts. Just thought I'd run it past y'all first. The interior and exterior are in good condition by the way. Is $10,000 fair?

Re: Thinkin of buying this mach...what are your thoughts?

Sounds like a very good price. I'd run a Carfax, and give it the general once over as with any car. You might try getting an Oasis report from any Ford dealer service dept. that might be convenient to you.
Are the subframe connectors aftermarket, or just the factory ones? It was standard on the Mach 1.

Re: Thinkin of buying this mach...what are your thoughts?

That's a really good price for 63,000 miles. Unless your looking to spend about $3K-$4K more for a lower mileage Mach then you should jump on that one if everything on the car checks out good.

I just talked to him and he said the wheel was broken when he was driving in the rain and a curb "snuck up" on him...anything I should worry about?

Bent front knee (LCA, knuckle and strut). If no obvious pulls and or steering wheel clear vision issues, probably nothing more than wheel/tire issues

Before, but an alignment will show any bent parts.

He said he thought they were aftermarket because they were square. Are the factory ones square?

Also, did they have 3.55's from the factory as well?

Well I just drove it...everything sounds good. He seems like a good guy. Got a DWI and has lawyer bills, so if that's the truth it doesn't seem like he's trying to pull one over on me.

Everything felt good and sounded good. Now we just await the results of the alignment on Saturday morning!
