If after two weeks you don't know what the helllll you want your just wasting my time and yours. Later, good luck finding what your looking for. Not sure what this carfax report is all about. I'll have to do some researching on that one. Iv'e owned the car since new so i can't answer on that one. You might go talk to your imaginary friend "orangemachone" and buy his.

Are you saying you have never hit another car with it because carfax states you did.

I hate to break it to you but CarFax is far from knowing everything or being perfect. Before I bought my Mach1 in '04, I had a '03 Chevy S-10, black, brand new. It had an electrical short in the passenger door and fire gutted the truck. After 2 months of "investigation" by Nationwide (my insurance company) and GM's Vehicle Fire Investigation team, GM took ownership of the issue and found a bad window motor had been the cause of the fire. They paid my insurance claim and reimbursed Nationwide for all costs involved. I went on to buy my Mach1 that I have now.

Fast foward about a year and on a chance visit to my parents (more than 200 miles away) I see a black S-10 on the side of the road for sale by owner. I recognized the wheels and brush guard with the lights I installed on mine and had to pul over. I wrote down the VIN and after I got home, found that it was the same truck I had. I called the owner and spoke with him and determined that he had picked it up from a local Chevy dealer "used". I then ran a CarFax on the VIN and there were not record of the fire damage or a salvage title. I called my insurance agent and he doubled checked that their claim should have forced the title to carry the "salvage" tag. But it did not.

So as far as CarFax is concerned, f'em.

I use four different car reporting and verification agencies include MARTI and carfax, and yes some incidents go unreported by agencies who work the incident. But it is rare for an accident to show on 3 different reports without being factual.

The same goes for tickets. I have had 2 tickets in the last two years and neither have show on my GA driver record nor up on my insurance.

I dont know what those other are, I've only ever dealt with CarFax. All I can say is, nothing is perfect.

Tickets showing on your DL is an entirely different set of circumstances. I am a police officer and some agencies do not report their citations to their state. They wait for "request". So an insurance company would have to have the state request the information from the local agency in order for your tickets to show up.
