have 4.10...should I go 4.30?
I currently have 4.10's in my car, Its my daily driver and a 5spd, and i do a decent amount of HW driving.
What would I gain or lose if I went to a 4.30 gear?

I would edit out the whole part out about the races part mentioned. Honestly, you wont see much of a difference going from 4.10s to 4.30s really.

Not worth changing for the amount you'll benefit.

For the DD Mach, I recommend either 3.90 or 4.10s. I've had 4.10s, 4.30s and the current 4.56s since the car is no longer in DD duty. If you hit the track regularly, 4.10 thru 4.56 gears are optimum N/A...

People that have the 6 speed trans can easily go with 56's or 88's as the t-56 has a little taller O/D than our 5 speeds do.

Re: have 4.10...should I go 4.30?
4.10's are a great overall gear. Love mine. If I were more of a hard core drag racer with this car than I would have gone 4.56's. DON'T FEAR THE GEAR

Re: have 4.10...should I go 4.30?
I can wind out third or shift into 4th crossing the traps a second after. I usually get a higher MPH and a tenth faster with the shift into 4th. I use DOT MT et streets. Not the Drag radials. The DOT's are a lot lighter than the Drag Radials.

Re: have 4.10...should I go 4.30?
I agree with most everyone else in the thread...since the car is a DD stay with the 4.10s. I had them and loved them but since mine is not a DD I stepped up to 4.56s, which are great for an NA Mach on the strip.
Take the money you were going to spend on the 4.10s and put it towards a nitrous kit. With 4.10s, you will definitely see an improvement for your money! LOL!!! LT

Re: have 4.10...should I go 4.30?
What tranny u using? I was gonna go 4.30s but i think i damaged my 3650. Definitely 4.56s if i get a t56. I run 8.50 1/8 all day long with street tires leaving at idle at a garbage track. I want 7.xxs bad!!!!!!!
