Jumpiness
Whenever I'm driving at lower gears (1 and 2) and I let go or ease off the gas too much my car jumps. I'm still in gear and everything and I have no idea why it does that? Any help anybody.

Re: Jumpiness
Not enough revs for the gear you're in? What do you mean jumps? Like it lurches forward and the engine struggles?

Re: Jumpiness
Nah, it's not like the engine isn't getting enough power it just lurches forward. Pretty nasty too. Like I always wonder if anyone can see it.

Re: Jumpiness
I had a rear main seal leak in my 66 that caused the same thing. Oil would build up on the clutch and it would slip and then grab suddenly & only in 1st. Not saying that is what your problem is, but if your saying the engine does'nt struggle, I would guess something with the clutch.

Re: Jumpiness
Yeah, because the RPM's don't drop or anything. The car just lurches forward.

Check the motor mounts and trans mount.
Rear suspension/control arm bushings Excessive play in rear end gear
