Re: seattbelt

you have 2 choices...

1. install the teflon insert for around $50 a side or......

2. install new seatbelt assemblies at around $53 one side and $58 on the other.

I know this because I JUST did this last weekend on my Mach and I did option #2. I got them from ITLRUN on this forum. Now my seatbelts work awesome.

Re: seattbelt

Had the issue on my driver side. Went to the dealer and he took care of it under warranty. I'm assuming because it is a safety issue.

That is why I had to buy the stuff myself. And I found that it was about $11 more total to replace the seatbelts than to put in the teflon inserts. The seatbelt swap out is not that hard and can be done in less than an hour for both sides. The hardest part was getting the darn rear seat cushion up . But now that I know about the buttons to release it it is a piece of cake. Oh...and you will need a T50 bit which you can buy at NAPA for $6.

at the base of seat just above where it meets the carpet. There are two of them...one each side about the center of each sitting postion. The best way to find it is to lightly depress the seat material about a 1/4" above the carpet and run your hands across the seat until you feel the button. Then push in the button and lift the cushion after the button bottoms out. Repeat on the other side of the car.
