Motor cuts off with ac on...

Does anyone have an idea where to find the valve or sensor that is causing the problem. Motor cuts off with the ac on. It idles down to low. It use to idle high with the ac on. Any advice accepted.

Re: Motor cuts off with ac on...

IAC valve is probably in need of replacement.

Re: Motor cuts off with ac on...

You are correct on the location of the IAC.

It could also possibly be a relay that is supposed to inform the computer of the extra load on the engine.

Re: Motor cuts off with ac on...

Car is stock except for the flowmaster exhaust. There is no warning lights on. It also runs great with the ac off but idles down with ac on and will cut off at stop lights.
