My brother had a 01 WS6 auto and it was strong from a roll but a turd from the digs. It did handle nice but always felt very heavy.

I would say the unsprung weight of the IRS is much less the solid rear. Unless I'm looking at this wrong, everything on the solid except maybe the upper control arms are unsprund weight.

It's the part the driveshaft bolts to on the front of the diff. It's held on by a 1 1/6" nut.

I have heard this before. Try tightening the strut nuts down again. An impact wrench is best. Sometimes the struts will settle into the plates with weight on the wheels and what you thought was tight...
