Re: What to do for long term storage

Will fuel stabilizer help if the car sits for 5 years? Or would I be better to drain the fuel system completely?

What to do for long term storage

I'm taking the Mach1 to my parents farm and putting it in storage in the shed. I think this storage, unfortunately, will be a multi-year deal.

So, what do I need to do to the car? Drain the...

Re: 2.1 Kenne Bell Install instructions

Have you tried asking KB? I have a paper copy - I'll see if I have a fast way to scan it in.

Re: Meanwhile in Canada...

At least out west it is generally too cold to throw salt down on the roads. In Ontario they dump the salt on the roads like mad. You never see old cars driving around here because they rust away...

Re: Boost gauge problem

I have the Ford Racing branded autometer electric boost guage.

The instructions note that when you install it that the power to the guage needs to be hot during start. When power is first...

Re: is the Mach a good DD?

I drove the '03 GT that I had before the Mach in the winters. With a good set of winter tires, it was better in the snow than the Grand-Am I had before it. And my part of the Great White North gets...

Re: How to get some rear traction when running a KB

This is good to know. I'll have to price out a full set or R888s, and keep it in consideration. How are they in the rain? I try to avoid the rain, but sometimes get caught out in it.

Re: How to get some rear traction when running a KB

What kind of tread life are R888s going to give me?

I have NT05 all around on the car right now, and only the rears need to be replaced. How would the NT05R stack up against the R888? I think...

Re: How to get some rear traction when running a KB

I guess I better price out 31 spline axles and diff, so I can change it all if I swap out the gears for 3.55s. Then I can get sticky tires...

Re: How to get some rear traction when running a KB

How sticky can I go before I break something in the trans/rear end?

Any recommendations on a sticky tire for the street? I only drive the car when it doesn't look like it is going to rain, and...

How to get some rear traction when running a KB

Hey All,

I put 4.10s in the rear end a couple years before I put the IC KB kit on. I put 18x10 rims on the rear with NT05 295 tires, and I can still light them up all day long in first and...

Re: Best/Favorite mods under $500, $750, $1000

Oh man, my Trunk Monkey was about $1250. Up in the Great White North they make us install a heater in the trunk for the Monkey too. That wasn't cheap. But at least the government pays for his...

Re: Best/Favorite mods under $500, $750, $1000

I bought new parts. BBK LTs, Catted X, and Borla stingers came to about $2300 with tax/shipping (and including O2 sensor extensions, stage 8 header bolts, gaskets, etc). I did the install myself.

Re: Best/Favorite mods under $500, $750, $1000

Full exhaust for under $1000? I think my full exhaust (LTs, X, Borla stingers) was more like $2500 (before a re-tune).
