Re: Lucas Tranny Fix ( Secret Sauce) I am a believer !!!

I think if you took a popularity vote on this, the winner would probably be Mobil 1. I actually used plain old dino ATF in mine because I was being cheap, thinking I may need to pull the trans back...

Re: Something Different

Are those the polished bullits off an S197? 18 inch? Would it be possible to get pics that show how they sit in relation to the fender lip? i.e. do they sit deeper into the fender well?

Re: Lucas Tranny Fix ( Secret Sauce) I am a believer !!!

2.5 quarts of ATF plus the 24 ounce bottle of Lucas gets you right at the 3.2 quarts total that Tremec now recommends for the 3650 trans. That's what I put in mine and it shifts great.

Re: Engine swapp!

There's a guy on SVTP selling a Mach motor for a pretty good price. You'd still need to get the computers and wiring figured out but this could give you a start.

Re: Clutch Pedal Rattles BAD!

FYI, I found a write-up on how to make your own freeplay kit. The cost looks to be less than $5.

Re: clutch replacement problems

It's not all that hard to take the intake off. If you do that then those top two bolts are easily accessible from the top. Since you've rounded the head you may still be out of luck but at least...

Re: IRS swap problems.

I'm not sure if the cables are the same or not but take a look at the installation instructions for the IRS bushing tool. The top right picture shows where the cables attach to the control arm,...

Re: 2011 M3 vs 2011 Mustang GT

You know something I don't get, did anyone else happen to pay attention to their graphic of the speeds and relative positions on the road course? Coming out of the last corner, the Mustang was...

Re: Looking for another Mustang

www.s197forum.com is good and specializes in those models. www.moddedmustangs.com and www.mustangforums.com are both good but they cater more to the 99-04 GTs. There's always www.corral.net .

Re: Silly question

I recently used a tow dolly to pull a 99 Cobra from Dallas to Denver. Didn't disconnect the driveshaft, just left it in neutral. The odometer said the same thing at the end as it did at the...

Re: Driveshaft bolts?

The last time I did these I ended up putting a 12mm wrench on the bolt head and then whaled away on it with a dead blow hammer. It took several good whacks on each bolt but they finally came loose.
