Basically, it has everything that even a Cobra could aspire to have. I installed the cobra accessory/supercharger drive parts as well - so this is exactly like a modded Cobra under the hood. All supporting mods EXCEPT the only thing I haven't done is change the rear axles - and I would suggest it for sticky tires...which are required to even think about getting it to hook in anything lower than 4th gear.

Here's one that someone else took at a local car show:

There are also a few more pics of the same event from different angles:

Strangly enough, I cant find any engine shots that I took once it was finished. They might be on the wifes laptop still. There are a few pictures in the following thread of the engine in the K-member, before install and of the engine a few minutes after it was installed :) It looks perfectly at home now :)

Re: Fully built 2003 Mach 1 - Whipple - T56 - MM - Forgeline - 8600 miles

Took the car to the track this weekend for the first time. I had some older drag radials and only did a quick burn-out, so the traction wasn't the best - which is what I wanted because one of the only things I haven't done on the car is the axles

Anyway, granny-shifting, 2.0 60', 7.80 in the 1/8th, spinning for the first 330'. When it hooked, it was very strong - 11.80 and trapped 131. If I do the axles and put a "real" sticky tire on there, 10s should not be a problem.

Bullitt - it's calling your name! :)

Tell them on how you got kicked off the track because you were too fast. LOL

But in all seriousness, this car is one SWEEET RIDE that deserves a new home here in the reg!

Jeff, G/L with the sale.

words can't express how badly i want this car. unfortunately, i have the huge task of trying to sell my car, which is probably going to take a looooooong time :anger:

btw, the only reason i'm selling my car is for your car. yea, it's a sickness. good luck with the sale anyways

It will probably end up yours man. I'm buying a new Mazdaspeed3 tomorrow for a daily-driver. I was planning on taking the Mach to the SVTOA Sebring event next month, so if it doesn't sell by then, I'll list it on Performance Autosport. I think that's the best chance for a sale really - so you have over a month still before that happens :)

If you end up buying it before Sebring, I'll just take the Mazda :)

Yes, first they said that I needed a helmet - then they noticed the trap speed and started getting picky, so I was done for the day :(

BTW, here's a quick vid that we did on the way back from the track. The color is horrible because we had the camera messed up. Ill send you the better version in email.

we'll see. i like the fact that it's pretty much untouched after you built the motor. if i don't sell within a few weeks i'm going to forget about selling my mach and just sell a bunch of parts and get a hellion kit on the stock bottom end and cross my fingers for a few years.

If you decide that you are going to be able to buy it shortly after Sebring, just shoot me a deposit - I'll detail it and leave it at home :)

Turbo is a great way to go. The only thing that I don't like about the Hellion kit is - even if you opt for the better Maximum Motorsports K-setup, you are still running the plumbing under the K-member. If you are running a drag setup, then you will have plenty of clearance but if you want a lowered car, watch out for the speed bumps.

Re: Fully built 2003 Mach 1 - Whipple - T56 - MM - Forgeline - 8600 miles

Thats up to you, but it's a little low-ball, considering the wheels and stuff. I wouldn't sell it they way it is for less than 19-20. If you REALLY want to move it - 18, but 16? Little low.
I think 18 would be a STEAL for someone.

Re: Fully built 2003 Mach 1 - Whipple - T56 - MM - Forgeline - 8600 miles

Of course, I bought a new car 2 days ago, or I would seriously take it on trade at the $16k mark - but I wouldn't pretend like I wasn't getting the best end of that deal - $16k would be really cheap.

Re: Fully built 2003 Mach 1 - Whipple - T56 - MM - Forgeline - 8600 miles

yea, i was being facetious. i wouldn't take anything less than $21k for my car without the wheels. i really wish i was in a better position to buy your car, but that's the way it always goes. oh well, at least i'll always bump your thread because your car is the total package. someone's going to be really happy

Re: Fully built 2003 Mach 1 - Whipple - T56 - MM - Forgeline - 8600 miles

Whew - I thought you were considering it! As a car guy, I couldn't tell you, with a clear conscience, to take that kind of offer! haha.

There is a local guy interested but he's in the same boat as you - needs to sell his current car first.

It looks like it's not going to Sebring after-all. I told my wife that I was 100% going to sell it, so it wouldn't make sense to take a chance that something might happen to it at Sebring. I'm going to bring the new car (Mazdaspeed3).

Jeff

I saw that it was for sale. It's amazing how much work and money we put into these, just to sell them :) What's next for you? I'm starting my 68 coupe, pro-touring project.

Either a GT500, ZX-14, or a new house.

Styles - were you at BMP a couple weekends ago?

I'm not in the position to trade unless the deal is really slanted in my direction :) Although, that is a bad car man.

I am sure something could be worked out, the car is priced to sell quickly. There is more then double that invested into the car and awhole lot of man hours. Your car is very-very nice though, GL on the sale and if you do change your mind just hit me up.

There are other factors too. I have another car that I would like to get work started on AND I just purchased a new DD.
