Got a catted x-pipe(cats have been removed) from rpmoutlet.com and ordered Flowmaster Super 44's from autopartswarehouse.com(great price and free shipping on orders over $50)

I'd say about $500 total, give or take some. That includes having the mufflers welded in. Of course it would be cheaper buying an o/r x-pipe.

I also have some handmade 4" stainless tips.

I haven't had flows on this car, or rode in a car with them so can't really compare. IMO interior noise isn't too bad. I can cruise with the windows up and ac on and talk with someone comfortably if necessary, lol. Of course under any kind of acceleration volume goes up dramatically. There's some "drone", but I find it to be just about right. I like to be able to hear what's going on, plus why wouldn't you want to hear the beautiful noise :D. I could never get tired of it personally. Other than that it sounds awesome inside the car.

I'm thinking about picking up a HD camera, and if so I'll be making new videos including some interior, I've had a handful of people ask about it.

It's a toss up between Mac's and Hooker maximum flow mufflers. THIS is a decent little camera for the price. The videos on there site look pretty good. Sound seems to be good too.

I bought the c/b from a website that is no longer up anymore, that was in 2006, don't know where's cheapest now. Bought the X from RPMoutlet, though they have raised the price now, I got it for 150 shipped. It's like 190 now. I'd get a X off ebay, either pypes or UPR. Last I checked you could get a new one for around 150-160 shipped (UPR or Pypes)

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here

There should be aluminized and ss available, aluminized is cheaper than SS. Mine is aluminized with the black coating. SS is "better", though it really depends on where you live and the conditions in which you drive the car. If your area is known for rust, you drive in snow, road salt, a lot of rain, live by the ocean, etc, then SS has a better chance to survive longer.

Re: Insert Your Exhaust Sound Clips Here

i installed it myself and it wasnt fun. the x pipe and the mac came in six pieces. i had trouble aligning the thing under jackstands. plus i had to saw off the stock exhaust by hand. in the end i had it all together but it still didnt align correctly. the x pipe was low and scraping the speed bumps. so i took it to exhaust systems hawaii. they charged me 100 just to align the pipes.

Here's a new clip. It's not actually new, but I re-edited some older clips trying to get better quality now that youtube has the higher quality playback. So you have to be logged into youtube for the high quality. Not sure it's much different, maybe a little clearer sound and picture. I think I'm getting a HD camera soon.

Sounds great.

How is the ground clearance with the American Racing headers? Also do you think they are wide enough to get an auto trans out without pulling a header.
