There have also been a few other 1/32 scale Mustang IIs out that I have. If you want I can provide that info to you. Don't know if they are available any more or not.

Don't know if you will see this reply so will try sending you a PM.

Guess some folks will riddle me when I admit that I have my original owner 1978 Cobra II in my garage next to my 2003 Mach 1.

Thanks. V/R, moodym

Re: Die -cast cars

Good Morning,

I can take some pictures in jpg format with my digital camera. Don't think I have ever posted pictures before so will need to learn how to do this.

Think I goofed as far as scale goes. What I collect are the "Hot Wheels" or "Johnny Lightning" type cars like I had as a kid. Not exactly sure what scale this is. Anyway, I have four (4) Mustang IIs in my collection as follows:

Johnny Lightning Mustang Classics, 1977 Cobra II, Item # 231-03.

Johnny Lightning Mustang Classics, 1975 Cobra II Racer, Item # 231-03.

Note: Above two were part of a set of 10 Mustangs that I bought via the Ford SVO catalog. Not sure if available any more.

Johnny Lightning AD Rods, 1978 Cobra II, Item #366-01.

Fresh Cherries, 1977 Ford Mustang II, Item # 73600L
(Yes, this one was Fresh Cherries but had to go home and look.)

Please reply one more time if anyone really wants me to post pictures.

Thanks. V/R, MoodyM

I called AutoArt and they have no plans of making the '04s. The closest you'll probably get for a 1:18 is taking the decals off, like I did.

Thanks for the FYI. So I could get is to buy an 03 and take off the silver rocker decals. I would have never thought that the rocker decals were actually decals on the diecast ones. I would have thought the decals would have been painted on the diecast models. If I was so inclined to be that anal, which I may be, I could also take off the 03 Running Pony fender badge emblems as well as taking off the rocker decals, and then buy another diecast model, this time an 04, say a SY one, or really any of the 04 non-black ones would work, and try to replace the 03 fender badges with the 04 ones from the other model, and then also try to replace the silver rocker decals with the black ones from the other model as well. Buying two diecast models to create a proper 04 model year Mach :ORANGE:

Re: Die -cast cars

Pretty impressive collection Brian! I may have just as many if not more. I have enough to fill two bookshelves like that (cars placed side by side) plus a curio cabinet filled with just my 1:24 scale NASCAR diecast. Not to mention the 10 that I have across my computer desk pictured below. (roughly 60-65 just NASCAR 1:24 scale cars in all). I couldn't get a full picture of the cabinet so I just posted various pics of the cabinet. In there is a copper plated car, a 24K gold plated car, and an autographed Rusty Wallce car. I also have diecast cars in cans. In the pic below, there is a Miller can, there is a diecast inside of it. I have 4 different versions of that plus 3 diecast in a Miller Lite bottle. I also have about 30-35 1:18 scale diecast cars. Two of them are the Miller Lite car, 1 of them is the MGD car, and the rest are various types of cars and trucks. (I'm a Rusty Wallce fan even though he is retired now). On top of that, I have 200+ hot wheel cars still in the packages not including the 150 or so NASCAR 1:64 scale cars that I have (some in packages but most them are not). I also have a couple of 1:32 scale cars. I would love to post a picture of all of them but I recently moved to an apartment and now have a kid on the way so most of them are in storage in my mother and father-in laws basement. Hopefully in a couple of years we will buy a house and they will all be out on display again. The "diecast" room will now be a baby room.

I also don't quite know how many I have, last count over 400. But, it's not a Diecast collection, it's a Mustang collection. All 400+ are 'stangs, then have other collectables as well. Knives, silver coins, signed posters, etc all Mustang. I need to get some pictures up.....

Awesome, Can't wait to see the pics. Where do you get Mustang coins from though. I've never seen them. I wouldn't mind getting some.

Are they the old Mach 1's? Who the heck would want a Pink Mach in real life?

Re: Die -cast cars

Ya they are 70 Mach's and they are using the old spectraflame colors from the original years of Hotwheels. So the pink is more of a candy translucent color. Looks good for a die-cast. Just picked up another 70 Mach yesterday, Kalifornia Kustoms, pretty kewl with real riders tires and opening hood.
