Radio question

My radio goes crazy when I touch the volume knob.

I found a radio that's for a Lincoln the buttons are in a little
bit different places. And the front mounting would need to
be changed (4 screws )

But the plug ins in the back are just like mine
Think this would work?

Re: Radio question

Had the same problem, is that a given on those head units?

Went aftermarket with a Sony from crutchfield, but interested to see if you have a plug and play from the Lincoln.

Re: Radio question

to be sure would need to look up a wiring diagram for each and compare.

I can see the appeal of keeping the factory look but I've gotta say, adding a new HU with blue tooth, carplay etc... does a TON to modernize the car.

Re: Radio question

What has been working for me when my stock radio does that is to turn the volume wheel many-many times with the car off. It seems to "clean" the volume pot enough on mine to get it to stop being crazy for a few months.

Re: Radio question

I put one from an 04 Lincoln in my 03 Mach. Works perfect, no wiring changes needed.
I just prefer to keep it stock looking, although the color is now more silvery.
